Content Warnings List
This page includes a collective list of both triggers and need for Content Warnings. This page will be screened for all comments so that identities will not be attached to any triggers & CWs listed. It is a courtesy that everyone should observe in RP to be respectful to others. The list below is to raise awareness among the player-base as a whole of themes/descriptions that would make others uncomfortable. This is a psychological horror game, but that does not mean you should be unaware of others' comfort levels.
The description of things that should be warned for are as follows:
Triggers: Specific things that may spark a severe reaction in the reader and make them uncomfortable enough to have a physical response (panic attack, etc).
Content Warnings: Not as severe as triggers, but any other questionable content that may potentially make people uncomfortable if they accidentally stumbled across it without warning (dubious consent porn, etc)
Items to tag:
- purposeful removal or breaking of teeth or jaw
- graphic torture/killing of animals
- visual images of anything related to trypophobia
- rape
- sex of dubious consent
- violent contact with the human eye (puncturing, gouging, etc)
- graphic description of mental institutions
- graphic depiction of compound fractures (broken bones breaching the skin)
- suicidal content
- excessive gore (painting the walls with blood, etc)
- giant needles (the size of a finger or larger)
- torture involving fingernails/nail beds
How to warn in your posts/tags:
- Action logs: Use the 'ratings' field in the setup
- Network posts: Please put "CW: warning" in the title or at the top of the content of the post, where warning is replaced with the actual content being warned for.
- Threads: In the subject of the tag with the actual content in it, please put "CW: warning", where warning is replaced with the actual content being warned for.
